Data protection

Privacy notice

This notice explains how personal data collected through the Biosiculà website is processed under Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Data controller

Biosiculà Srls, VAT no. 01894730892, 96012 Avola (SR), Syracuse, Italy. For privacy enquiries, write to info@biosicula.it.

Data processed

When you use our contact forms, we may collect your name, contact details, company information and any other data you voluntarily enter in your message. The server may also record technical data needed for the operation and security of the website, such as IP address, date and time of the request, requested page and browser information.

Purposes and legal basis

Data submitted through the forms is processed to answer enquiries, assess commercial proposals and manage any pre-contractual activities. Processing is based on taking steps requested by the data subject and, where indicated in the form, on consent. Technical data is processed to ensure the security, integrity and proper operation of the website on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest.

Provision of data

Fields marked as required are necessary to submit an enquiry. Without them, the relevant form cannot be used. We do not use data collected through the forms for promotional messages without specific consent.

Processing and retention

Data is processed using electronic tools and appropriate protective measures. It is retained for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting relationship, as well as for periods required by law or necessary to protect the controller’s rights.

Recipients and transfers

Data may be processed by technical providers supporting hosting, email and website maintenance, appointed as processors where required. The website uses Google Fonts: your browser may connect to the provider’s servers to download fonts and transmit technical data. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer takes place using safeguards provided by applicable law.

Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical browser and connection data to distinguish legitimate users from automated attempts. This processing is necessary for website security and spam prevention.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses technical tools needed for form security and to remember the selected language. The language preference is saved in your browser’s local storage and can be cleared through your device settings. Form security tokens may use a temporary technical session.

Only with the user’s consent, the website uses the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to measure visits, understand advertising campaign performance and create audiences for relevant communications. The Pixel may collect information about the device, browser, pages visited and interactions with the website and may use cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. Consent is managed through the iubenda banner and preference panel. Without consent, iubenda prevents the Meta Pixel from being activated.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability. You may also withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Requests may be sent to info@biosicula.it. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
